LGBT in BDSM: Gay and Leather Daddies

Same-sex thematic couples are not uncommon, however, most often they openly demonstrate their relationships only in closed companies. This is a kind of closed community in a closed community BDSM. Why? It's simple – no matter how tolerant the world of BDSM is, homosexuals are still under the pressure of stereotypes and non-acceptance. And yet, there are gays in this Theme as well.

Some Terms

No one needs to explain who is a homosexual, or gay, however, many are confused in terms when it comes to "leather daddy." To many at the mention of this term, the memory throws men from the club "Blue Oyster" in some famous comedy film. In general, the visual presentation is correct. But with theory, problems usually begin.

So, “leather daddies” are older gay men dressed in leather and being the object of obsession (yes, that’s so) for young, quivering boys. Most often, young leather daddy fans voluntarily put on a collar and bracers as a sign of belonging. And it has nothing to do with D/S relations, except visualization of communication. The leather daddy does not have the power that the Dominant has over his submissive. And at the same time, he can be sure of the total fidelity of his young fan.

But What About the Leather and Other Attributes?

It is not difficult to guess that leather daddies are called so because they wear leather. Another reason why they are often confused with BDSM Dominants (or rather Sadists). And although the roots of the leather in BDSM and this category of LGBT are the same – the principles of wearing are still different.

The image of a leather daddy is built on sexuality: they often have bodies pumped up, fashionable haircuts and stylish beards, and gray hair only adds attraction to the appeal. They wear a sword belt to the naked body, not hesitating to show it; also, in their environment, various body improvements are quite common: tattoos, piercings (nipples and genitalia in particular), scarification. A strong and masculine male attracts a pair, but does not frighten it with its appearance, does not subdue it with its eyes and, all the more, does not whip it with a leather belt pulled out of its pants.

Dominant Leather Daddy: Mythical or Real Character?

Now to say: “Nothing worldly is alien to them,” but this is not quite so. Much more often among gay people Dominants and Sadists are found not among leather daddies, but ordinary, at first glance, unremarkable men.

Very rarely leather daddies are found among bondage and shibari-masters. But they like to combine painful practices with sexual practices and often dilute the spanking with oral sex, fingering or fisting. And yet, BDSM is not the determining factor for leather daddy, they feel quite comfortable apart from flagellation and other BDSM games.
