Anal sex

Anal sex among kinksters in general, and within BDSM in particular, is often associated with the concept of power over the partner. Although in reality anal sex may not be related to role inequality, such an association is quite common.

Anal stimulation can lead to orgasm for both men and women. Women achieve it through contractions of the pelvic floor muscles, while in men, orgasm in this case is associated with the stimulation of the prostate and indirect stimulation of the base of the penis. But above all, orgasm in both cases is conditioned by psychological reactions: from the understanding that they are "being had," often violating certain societal norms.

Considering safety techniques during anal sex, the rectum, unlike the vagina, does not have natural lubrication. Therefore, entry into it always requires the use of lubrication. If condoms are used, it is better to use a water-based lubricant that does not damage latex. Although the rectum in a normal situation does not contain feces, they enter it immediately before defecation, but traces of feces can remain on the walls. Therefore, it is worth doing an enema before anal sex. An important part of safety and simply the ability to orgasm is the elimination or reduction of painful sensations.

The anal opening consists of two muscular rings called sphincters, with a distance of about half a centimeter between them. They function independently of each other. The external sphincter is controlled by the central nervous system and can be contracted and relaxed at will, similar to muscles in the hand, for example. The internal sphincter is controlled by another part of the nervous system responsible for natural physiological reactions, and it cannot be controlled without special training. It is the internal sphincter that reacts with contraction to fear and the sensation of penetration during anal sex. It automatically contracts, even if the person does not want it to. Attempts to overcome this contraction cause pain. There are training methods that allow consciously relaxing this sphincter.
