BDSM Practices During the Coronavirus COVID-2019 Epidemic: Precautions

Quarantine and self-isolation are not a reason to give up your pleasures, however, you should make some adjustments to the routine of practice so that “S” in the SSC becomes even Safer.

The rule of two "D"

Two main recommendations of WHO are suitable for BDSM practice: Disinfection and Distance. You will have to further process your devices in order to use them. However, keep in mind several important points:

  • Firstly, for each Bottom one there should be its own individual set of devices, regardless of whether the COVID-19 epidemic is raging or not. If you are a bottom - take care of it yourself, if you are the Top and you have several submissives, it is your responsibility to secure them.
  • Secondly, it is also necessary to process devices under any conditions, so keep cyteal and/or chlorhexidine handy. Ideally, quartzing can also be done, but at home it is much more difficult to do.
  • Thirdly, you can use the recommended sanitizers with high a*****l content for disinfection, but keep in mind that your devices will “die” after several such treatments.

Both partners are also subject to disinfection and handling. This will sound strange, but both Top and Bottom should be thoroughly washed before the session. Turn this into an element of foreplay and use the 20-second rule not only to wash your hands but your entire body, including your hair.

Keeping a distance means giving up all contact practices. ALL OF THEM. Therefore, hide for a while your favorite needles, hooks, candles, and ropes. What is left? Flogging! Although some Masters give additional recommendations on binding during the quarantine period due to coronavirus COVID-2019, the best of them is abstinence. However, if you are reckless or brave enough, consider this:

  • you should work with gloves - only disposable and only carefully processed by a sanitizer;
  • if the harness is planned for the naked body (which, of course, is not recommended), the ropes must also be additionally processed;
  • monitor the integrity of the skin, if the rope rubs or cuts, immediately remove it and treat the damaged area.

As for wax and “hot” practices, it’s better to really postpone them for now. Try to touch open areas of skin of each other as little as possible, especially hands, face and neck.

Masks, methods of protection, post-session hygiene

The mask does not help a healthy person not to get infected, the mask does not allow the patient to spread the disease. If you are at risk, you do not have the opportunity to do a coronavirus COVID-2019 test, and you are afraid of accidentally infecting someone - self-isolate, a mask is not the best way to protect others. However, if hunger is so great that without a session you won't live, you should definitely wear a mask for both you and your partner.

If you are used to ending sessions with sex or often use sexual practices with penetration during sessions, remember about additional disinfectants, change gloves (and masks, yes, use only disposable ones), and you will have to use condoms twice as much at a time.

At the end of the session, it is necessary to wash both partners once more and treat themselves with all the above medications. Take care not only of pleasure, but of safety and health.
